Uninterruptible 24VDC power supply of
Embedded Box PCs, control systems, etc.

The new combi DC UPS unit UPSI-2406DP2 (24VDC / 4.25A) with integrated Supercap energy storage bridges power failures, flicker and voltage dips to ensure an uninterruptible 24VDC power supply at the output. The compact DC UPS modules in a robust DIN rail housing are ideally suited for many years of maintenance-free use in control cabinet applications to protect embedded box IPCs, controllers, gateways, measuring, control and safety technology.

For short and medium bridging times, particularly high-quality Longlife Supercaps (ultracapacitors) are used for energy storage. By optimizing the power electronics, the UPSI-2406DP2 can safely bridge DC applications of up to 100 Watts. The corresponding diagrams for the achievable backup times can be found in the data sheet of the respective model.

Unlike batteries, which store energy by the detour of a chemical reaction, Supercaps are based on electrophysical principles and are charged and ready for use within a very short time, operate in a wide temperature range and convince with high current-carrying capacity, power density and reliability. Due to the high cycle stability of more than 500,000 charge and discharge cycles, DC UPS systems with Supercaps are maintenance-free and have a particularly long service life.

To configure and pre-program the DC UPS parameters as well as for monitoring, the UPS software "UPSI HID Configuration" is available for free download from the respective product at www.bicker.de. With a "PowerFail", the DC UPS signals failure of supply voltage via the integrated communication interface so that a safe shutdown of the computer system is initiated.

The built-in reboot function enables the system to automatically reboot as soon as the input voltage returns during shutdown or at a later time. For example, self-sufficient computer systems can be shut down in a controlled manner after a power failure and then restarted independently.
