❚ DC UPS systems
Maintenance-free
DC UPS with wide
input voltage range
Uninterruptible DC power supply in
a
compact DIN rail aluminum case
|
The DC UPS compact modules DC2412-UPSD and DC2412-UPS-LDD (Load Dump) with wide-range input and integrated DC/DC converter bridge fluctuations, dips or failures of the upstream supply voltage (16...32 VDC) and provide an uninterruptible 12V power supply at the output.
As energy storage for short and medium bridging times, the new DC-UPS compact modules use Supercaps (ultracapacitors) with high power density.
|
|
/// Maintenance-free energy storage
Unlike batteries, which store energy by the detour of a chemical reaction, Supercaps are based on electrophysical principles and are charged and ready for use within a very short time, operate in a wide temperature range and convince with high current-carrying capacity, power density and reliability. Due to the high cycle stability of more than 500,000 charge and discharge cycles, DC UPS systems with Supercaps are maintenance-free and have a particularly long service life.
|
/// *Load Dump version available
The DC2412-UPS-LDD has a Load Dump protection at the input according to ISO7637-2 for applications in mobile 24V on-board vehicle systems. The integrated Load Dump feature is for self-protection as well as for protection of supplied systems from overvoltage peaks up to 123 V. In addition, the DC2412-UPS-LDD has an inrush current limiter and an ignition input (IGN) to activate the converter.
Modifications to meet increased shock and vibration requirements in the mobile sector are also available on request. |

/// Settings via DIP switch or UPS software
In addition to the software-independent parameter setting via DIP switch, the UPS software "UPS Control Center" is available for free download at the respective product at www.bicker.de. In case of a "PowerFail", the DC-UPS signals the supply voltage failure via integrated communication interface, so that a safe shutdown of the computer system is initiated and documents and settings are saved before system shuts down. Power-fail (PF) timers and shutdown timers can be set directly via DIP switch or software.

/// Reboot function
The built-in reboot function enables the system to automatically reboot as soon as the input voltage returns during shutdown or at a later time. For example, self-sufficient computer systems can be shut down in a controlled manner after a power failure and then restarted independently.
/// Maximum safety for your application
In the field of uninterruptible power supply, our DC UPS systems can be used in a variety of applications to protect low-power embedded IPCs, gateways, control technology, motors, sensors, actuators, etc. Customized solutions and adjustments for your individual application are possible on request. We will be pleased to help!

Free Whitepaper
on
DC UPS systems
and
battery technologies
The extensive white paper shows the factors and technological differences that system developers should consider when selecting and dimensioning DC UPS systems for their application.
In detail the white paper shows the technological differences and selection criteria for energy storage. Supercaps, lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO4), conventional lithium ion cells (LCO/NMC), pure lead-tin and classic lead gel batteries are compared in terms of numerous parameters, i.a. cell structure, safety, energy and power density, lifetime, current carrying capacity,operating temperature range, maintenance, transport, storage and initial and follow-up costs. In addition, the design and function of control and charging technology including the battery management system (BMS) are explained.
We are happy to send you the whitepaper as PDF for free!
